A prominent historian and expert on secret societies, Jean Franciscus, otherwise known as Dr. Jean, receives Pepys diary with great elation. Immediately, the doctor and his good daughter, Nadia, embark on a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. Dr. Jean then contacts Ignatius Blackward, and begins inquiries about the Brotherhood of Hecate.
